Main duties and responsibilities
The School of Life and Medical Sciences is looking for an experienced administrator to join our team of professional staff. The School Administrator will support the department and school in a range of functions that support the operational and strategic development of school-based business administration process, including documenting and where appropriate, making changes to processes and providing support to the Head of Department and academic staff in the school.
Skills and experience required
You will have experience of working in an office environment, possess good IT skills, and use initiative in seeing an activity through from start to finish. In support of a varied and interesting work schedule, you will need to demonstrate strong attention to detail and good organisational and interpersonal skills.
You will need to be able to demonstrate flexibility, the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Familiarity with computerised systems is desirable.
Qualifications required
You must be educated with A-Level or an equivalent standard or possess proven professional work experience. A degree level qualification would be desirable.
