NIHR ARC North Thames works with its regional university, NHS, local authority, patient, charity and industry partners to identify key health and care problems, and designs innovative applied research in response. The Research Programme Support Officer will be part of the core operational team of the ARC based at UCL.
About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated administrator to support the ARC. You will be responsible for communicating information across the infrastructure, collecting and collating information for monitoring and reporting purposes, providing administrative support for ad hoc and ongoing initiatives, supporting internal and external events, and arranging meetings, travel and accommodation.
This is a fixed term role until 31 March 2026 in the first instance.
About you
You will have a strong administrative background with an understanding of Higher Education Institutions systems and procedures. You will be educated to A-level standard, or equivalent with proven administrative experience including organising meetings, taking notes, writing minutes, and undertaking PA-type support. Experience of working on academic research grants and the related administrative systems would be beneficial.
