The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are seeking to appoint a full-time Receptionist/Administrator. The Receptionist is responsible for the provision of excellence in customer service, telephonist and clerical skills throughout the School’s properties to facilitate the achievement of the School’s mission and strategic objectives.
You will be working as part of the Front of House Team, to assist with the smooth running of the LSHTM reception desks, ensure that all enquiries are dealt with promptly and courteously.
You should be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths (A-Level) and have proven and successful experience of administrative work. Previous experience as a receptionist is desirable. The successful candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, including a pleasant telephone manner. The post is full time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 3 in the range £29,814 - £33,457 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
