As part of our People, Culture & Inclusion Enabling Plan, the university is in the process of developing a strategic approach to support the mental health and wellbeing of our community – tackling both the causes and symptoms of poor wellbeing. The PCI Manager (Wellbeing) will be our primary subject matter expert responsible for developing and implementing this approach. The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time and will work closely our university Mental Health and Wellbeing Steering Group and with the Student Experience Directorate (who deliver a range of relevant functions and services to students).
Job purpose
The PCI Manager (Wellbeing) will have responsibility for conceiving, designing and implementing PCI projects that contribute to our PCI Enabling Plan, from diagnosis and embedding, to measuring and celebrating success.
The role holder will take responsibility for leading projects and activities relevant to Mental Health and Wellbeing across the institution, providing subject matter expertise, whilst maintaining an intersectional approach, to deliver aspects of our People Culture & Inclusion (PCI) Enabling Plan. This role works closely, and in a matrix management and influencing role with the Head of EDI, EDI Managers, HR Managers, Student Experience Directorate and service leaders. The role holder will project manage the University’s engagement and participation with the University Mental Health Charter, utilising the charter’s technical criteria to accredit and communicate our performance, success and impact to staff and students. The PCI Manager (Wellbeing) will demonstrate a keen understanding of the needs of our diverse community and will work closely with colleagues to ensure that these needs are factored in all aspects of delivery.
