About the Role
The post holder is responsible for independently managing, overseeing and monitoring the School’s industrial placements with a year in industry degree programmes to secure the maximum number of one year industrial placements for the School of Economics and Finance and School of Business and Management students. They also manage all exchange programmes (full-year, semester and summer schools) for both incoming and outgoing undergraduate students of the School.

About You
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with experience of working within a Higher Education setting. You will have experience of managing industrial / study abroad placements or similar. An ability to develop and sustain relationships with external organisations and strong interpersonal skills are essential.  

About the Schools

The School of Economics and Finance is a leader in teaching and research at both the national and international level. It has a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including programmes that are jointly run with others Schools. The School has over 700 undergraduate students, and over 900 postgraduate taught students. It offers excellent facilities and resources to enhance learning, including offering training and access to real time trading software to both UG and PGT students.

The School of Business and Management at Queen Mary University London is internationally recognised for research and teaching. The school has been growing rapidly, with over 4,000 students and over 150 members of staff. The school seeks to sustain and enhance a distinctive research and teaching profile and ensure a supportive and intellectually challenging business and management environment. 

Both Schools are located within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, which comprises of nine Schools.
