It is an exciting time to be at Leeds Trinity University. Over the last three years we have invested heavily in research leadership and doubled the size of our staff research community and have ambitious plans for our submission to the next Research Excellence Framework. We have grown and developed our academic portfolio, especially in health and life Sciences, social policy, criminology, law, business and management computer science, adding to our existing strengths. We have more than 50 postgraduate research students and have solid plans for an application for Full Degree Awarding Powers. We have an exciting network of partnerships in the UK and overseas, with potential for these to further support the expansion of our research base. In the autumn we will launch a new research and knowledge exchange strategy and open our new City Centre campus in the heart of Leeds, just a few minutes’ walk from the rail station.
As we develop our research and knowledge exchange profile, we are looking for a new Manager of our Research and Knowledge Exchange Office. The successful candidate will work closely with our Dean of Research and Dean of External Engagement and Impact to deliver our Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy, coordinate and oversee our support for staff research and postgraduate researchers.
The successful candidate will have a track record of management of research or academic support services in an HE context. They will be a people person and able to build relationships and get the most out of others. They will also be comfortable in understanding and responding effectively to our changing regulatory environment. They will be capable in data management, analysis and reporting. Most of all they will be committed to the delivery of excellence. The role offers the successful candidate scope to make their own mark and innovate in the organisation of our research and knowledge exchange support services.
This role will be based at both our Horsforth Campus with some travel to our City Centre Campus.
This advert will close as soon as we receive a suitable number of applications. Interviews are expected to be held mid to late August.
