The Post:
The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service (SNBTS) Tissues, Cells & Advanced Therapeutics Directorate undertakes cutting edge research and development of new cell and gene therapies. These products are manufactured in our state-of-the-art clean room facilities according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
In support of TCAT’s research, development and manufacturing activities, we offer an exciting opportunity to join TCAT as a Senior Project Manager. The successful candidate will specifically be expected to work with the Head of Operations to develop and deliver a portfolio of projects. The initial focus will be on collaborations with academic and commercial partners in the process of technology transfer into the GMP environment for manufacture to support first-in-human clinical trials.
The Candidate:
Educated to postgraduate level with a background in bio/biomedical sciences, you will have extensive and demonstrable experience of project management, ideally gained within the life sciences sector. You should be used to working with diverse stakeholders and competing priorities whilst delivering multiple projects on time and on budget. Excellent communication skills are required to ensure transparency of resource requirements; progress towards delivery of milestones; and arising issue/risk management among partners. Previous experience of working in a GMP environment and/or with quality management systems will be an advantage.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
