About the Role
We are seeking to recruit a qLegal Project Coordinator at the Centre for Commercial Law Studies who will work under the qLegal Teaching Fellow, to assist in the day-to-day operation and running of the Externships Porgramme. You will also be dealing with the increasing demands of clients and administrative duties relating to qLegal, supporting qLegal student experience, alumni development activities, entrepreneurs and start-ups.
About You
Candidates must be educated to at least A Level or equivalent or equivalent professional experience and Substantial experience of working in a busy office environment in a client-centered role.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
qLegal is Queen Mary University of London’s award-winning pro bono commercial law clinic supporting tech start-ups and entrepreneurs, situated within the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS). qLegal celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2024.
qLegal provides a wide range of programmes in which master’s law students provide free legal and business support to start-ups. These programmes include credit-bearing modules for students to undertake as part of their master’s degree; a legal advisory clinic; a Future of Law programme; and an Externships programme in which students are placed within a start-up as part of a broader educational programme.

The post is based at the Lincoln Inns Fields Campus in London. It is full time, 12 month fixed term appointment, with an expected start date in March 2025. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £32,321 - £39,065 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
