The Civic HealthTech Innovation Zone (CHI-Zone) is being established to accelerate the growth of the health and life science sector, upskill residents and create jobs for the Liverpool City Region. A new team is being created, as part of the CHI-Zone, to develop tools to leverage information from health datasets to guide advancements in pharmaceutical research. Within this team, as Project Manager, you will co-ordinate work across teams specialising in Mathematical Modelling, Informatics, Data Engineering, and Bioinformatics, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely delivery of milestones.
Reporting to Professors Simon Maskell and Iain Buchan, you will work closely with other members of the Civic Health Innovation Labs team as well as with our US-based industry partner. The role will involve developing and maintaining a comprehensive project road map in collaboration with partners, and co-ordinating efforts across interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and efficient progress, facilitating communication between stakeholders, including technical experts and leadership. In addition, you will co-develop bids for related funding to grow team capacity and deliver an impactful research collaboration.
You should be qualified to degree level or equivalent with a scientific and/or technical background.
The post is available from 1st April 2025 until 31st March 2028.
Although the university has a hybrid working system, we expect that the applicant appointed to this role will work more than 60% on campus.
