This is an exciting new role that will provide a focal point across the faculty to support our community to expand its professional education and industrial engagement, working across disciplines.
The Faculty of Social Science and Public Policy at King’s is one of the largest UK university communities for social research and education. The faculty has a number of strategically important projects underway which are closely aligned with the broader King’s Vision 2029 agenda.
SSPP embraces equality, diversity and inclusion. We attract students and staff from across the world, from many different backgrounds, with a variety of ethnicities, religions, and sexual and gender identities. We promote flexible working as a key enabler of inclusion. We particularly encourage and welcome applications from women, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates, and from candidates who are LGBTQ+ and/or have a disability.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to implement the faculty’s strategy and business plan for professional education, and to develop the faculty’s portfolio and proposition. The role-holder will work in partnership with the academic leadership team for professional education, and with Professional Services in the College.
We are looking for an individual with excellent skills in building internal networks, engaging private, public and third sector organisations, and a track record in income generation.
The main purpose of the role will be to develop a robust pipeline of stakeholder engagement, focused on income generation, portfolio diversification, impact and enterprise that aligns to the faculty and King’s College London’s strategy and operations.
This is a hybrid working role, where the role-holder will spend part of their working week on campus, and part of the week working remotely. It is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a permanent contract.
