LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive university
Salary from £42,679 to £51,000 per annum (pro-rata) inclusive with potential to progress to £54,730 pa (pro-rata) inclusive of London allowance

LSE Scholars at Risk (LSE SAR) is a School-wide initiative to support scholars who are at risk in their home country or country of residence. It is primarily funded internally through central LSE funding and the Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity (AFSEE) in the International Inequalities Institute, with contributions from other academic units. It enables scholars at risk to be hosted at LSE in an academic department or research centre with either visiting fellow or senior visiting fellow status for up to two years. LSE runs the scheme in partnership with a range of relevant external organisations, with particularly strong involvement with the Council for At-Risk Academics, further details of which can be found on the Scholars at Risk webpages.
The Programme Manager for LSE SAR is a stimulating and challenging role which is critical to delivering on LSE’s long-standing commitment to supporting scholars from around the world who face persecution because of their work. The postholder is responsible for ensuring the programme is run effectively and efficiently within budget, working with stakeholders across and beyond LSE to deliver a coordinated, positive experience for the visiting scholars. The role requires a confident self-starter with outstanding organisational skills, who can work well with a wide and diverse range of people, and who can quickly develop the necessary knowledge: of the scheme, the LSE context, and the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
