This is a fixed term appointment until 31 May 2025 and is part-time for 17.5 hours (0.5 FTE)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the LSE Human Resources Division which is organised into 3 broad teams: HR Partnering, HR Operations and HR Specialists (Policy, Organisational Learning, Pensions and Immigration Compliance). This role sits in the Hourly-Paid Team within HR Operations. The Hourly-Paid Team supports the employee lifecycle of hourly and casual employees.

Duties include:

  • Effectively managing and responding to a high volume of information requests and queries, providing high quality and accurate responses to both internal and external customers.
  • Preparing contractual letters for new and existing staff working
  • Ensuring staff records are maintained accurately on the HR System and communicating changes to the Payroll team.
  • Conducting Right to Work checks

What you’ll need:

  • Experience of advising colleagues and managers on organisational processes, policies, and procedures
  • Clear and concise written and spoken English
  • Ability to prioritise workload and to manage several tasks effectively and accurately, maintaining attention to detail
  • Ability to deal professionally with confidential information and maintain discretion
  • Experience of working in an HR environment is desirable but not essential
