Study Group Digital Learning are proud to be delivering an innovative online program for ambitious high-school students in the Middle East.   

The program is a part-time, digital course which is designed to provide students in their final years of high school with a comprehensive grounding in the subject knowledge, study skills and insights they need to make a successful undergraduate university application. The program will be delivered through timetabled synchronous lectures, seminars and tutorials as well as through the provision of engaging asynchronous activities.

Our commitment to student success will ensure every learner receives an effective and quality assured digital learning experience that supports them in successfully taking the next steps in their educational journey. 

The Head of Program English will provide leadership for the Program English team including line management of the Program Curriculum Leader - English language and Program Curriculum Leader – English Reading and Writing College Board SATs. The Head will contribute to the delivery of excellent student outcomes; quality assurance and enhancement and curriculum innovation with strong collaborative working.  

Reporting to the Program Director the Head will work closely with senior colleagues within and outside of the Program and be responsible for the delivery of agreed student outcomes. 

The Head will help design the Program modules, teaching resources, and assessments, and work to achieve Study Group’s strategic vision of being a global leader in international education.  

The successful candidate will have recent successful line management experience in an academic setting delivering English literature as well as knowledge of English language delivery and have proven ability to communicate and engage with multiple different stakeholders effectively. 

The role may include up to 10 hours of timetabled teaching. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • English Language Preparation Online module levels IELTS 4.5 - 7.5    
  • The SAT English module is preparing students for the USA College Board Reading and Writing tests. 
  • Contribute to Study Group strategic vision and growth through development of the Program  
  • Communicate our vision to drive forward continuous improvement in the Program English modules to achieve the aspirational targets for student outcomes. 
  • Contribute to planning and development including human resources; academic development; learning, teaching, and assessment; and academic quality assurance and enhancement, in the Program English modules. 
  • Participate in Program meetings and events as required 
  • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and identify appropriate actions to solve problems and enhance delivery within the Program and English modules. 
  • Line Manage Program Curriculum Leaders  
  • Provide effective and efficient academic management and co-ordination of Program English staff resources. 

ABOUT YOU

  • A bachelor’s degree in English literature or English Language, a master’s or higher degree is desirable.  
  • Relevant Teaching qualification  
  • Training in teaching English Language to international students.
  • Experience providing leadership in a complex multi-disciplinary environment, with evidence of success. 
  • Experience in teaching English literature or English language in high school, further education or pathway education settings
