About the Role
The National Federated Compute Services (NFCS) NetworkPlus is a two-year UKRI/EPSRC funded programme which will build a community around national federated computational research services and develop roadmaps for future UKRI investment in this space. A key deliverable of the project is the commissioning a series of flexible funding projects that will generate evidence to support the delivery of the roadmaps.
Managing one Administration & Events Officer and working alongside a Technical Coordinator, the postholder will provide professional project management in the day-to-day running of the NFCS Network Plus, as well as programme management for the suite of external projects funded from the overall project. They will build relationships with our project partners and across the wide stakeholder community.
About You
You will be an experienced and capable project manager; a good leader with a strong communication skills set. A strong strategic thinker, you will also be able to work with operational complexity in a fast-paced environment.
It is desirable to have previous experience in an HE environment (ideally with Research Council projects), but you must have experience of the tools and techniques for efficient project management and the ability to ensure your team use these effectively. The project has a significant community building component and you will be experienced in using a range of media to develop and maintain and develop engagement with stakeholders.
You will be experienced in reporting to stakeholders and producing professional materials to give effective presentations.
