This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
Are you an enthusiastic, experienced manager/professional with relevant and up-to-date knowledge of digital design and online learning development? Would you like to play a key role within an award-winning digital learning development team? Can you lead an established team of design specialists that create educational materials for a global audience?
We are looking for an experienced, graphically and digitally focused creative design specialist to inspire and manage a small team of digital designers who work across high-profile cross-university and external projects. You will lead your team to work with learning designers, instructional designers, subject matter experts, video production leads, and animators to plan and develop professional-standard innovative brands, design concepts and digital learning materials, using a range of industry standard tools.
You will be responsible for advising a range of stakeholders both internal/external to the University regarding the use of pedagogically sound, inclusive and accessible digital assets for learning, from the initial project scoping phase through to deployment and evaluation. We are looking for someone with excellent hands-on experience of digitally focussed creative design and experience in managing teams.
Working closely with our existing Creative and Learning Technology Manager, Production Managers, and Engagement & Communications Managers, you will work across the full range of the Digital Education Service’s portfolio of online courses and engagement and communications material, including courses and modules delivered on FutureLearn, Coursera and the University’s Blackboard Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) as well as social assets, communications templates and web support.
