We are looking for a Residence Experience Receptions Supervisor with excellent customer service skills to join our Residence Experience team. This role would be suited to someone with a friendly personality and someone who is eager to create memorable experiences for our students and commercial guests.
With over 5,000 bedrooms on campus and in the city, we operate multiple reception hubs for students, staff, visitors, and commercial guests. Being part of this team, you will primarily be based on Campus. However, this role require a level of flexibility and availability to work across a variety of locations and shifts especially during Commercial period (June until September). You will work on a 5 days over 7 rota. The rota covers work on any of the 7 days per week between 8am – 10pm. Therefore, weekend working will sometimes be required.
This role supervises a small team of our permanent and casual staff. You will be involved in their recruitment and responsible for their training. You'll work closely with your managers to ensure all of our receptions are effectively resourced and are providing a consistent service. You will need to confidently communicate with customers in-person as well as on the telephone and via email. This role also needs to form strong working relationships with other University departments and stakeholders such as Security.
You will have the ability to work in a fast paced environment with conflicting priorities. You will need to have previous experience in a customer-focused role and be able to demonstrate times that you've provided excellent customer service.
This is a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover position starting March 2025 and ending December 2025 or the post holder's early return. The role is 36.5 hours per week
