We're looking for an enthusiastic Organisational Development Coordinator to provide support with all administrative aspects relating to the OD function, to implement and evaluate learning and development programmes across the Institute and to contribute to the growth of our people and organisation. 

The person appointed to this exciting new role will work closely with the HR Operations team and will be pivotal in helping shape our new OD function. The  purpose of the role is to support all OD activities, to upskill our people, focus on development for all and ensure opportunity, community, inclusivity and diversity are at the heart of everything that is designed and delivered. 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Providing general course/programme administration such as booking venues, preparing and distributing course materials, booking accommodation, travel and transport arrangements
  • Gathering, preparing and collating course information/ data e.g. course events, attendance and feedback
  • In conjunction with the HR Operations team, conducting 1 to 1/ group welcome briefings for new starters
  • Supporting with the establishment of a learning management system (LMS)
  • Attending and contributing to relevant forums and committees as required
  • Supporting the development of the Institute wellbeing strategy
  • Playing a key role in the promotion, engagement and colleague participation of OD programmes and initiatives such as leadership development programmes, 360 degree assessments, MBTI assessments, coaching and focus groups
  • Supporting the EDI agenda and related activities such as communication, colleague engagement, workshops, networks and development
  • Undertaking project work as directed by the HR Manager
  • Monitoring budgets, processing invoices and orders, expenses claims
  • Supporting the HR Manager with the Mental Health First Aiders network
  • Supporting with the Institute social events calendar
  • Promoting a culture of life/work balance and healthy work practices 

Could this be the job for you? 

We are looking for someone who would be confident in supporting the delivery of training programmes, helping facilitate focus groups and teambuilding sessions, developing course materials, and supporting managers to deliver engagement events and initiatives. You don't have to be an experienced trainer or facilitator as training can be given to develop these skills.

What will be essential is that you: 

  • Are able to demonstrate motivation and resilience
  • Have excellent organisational skills with accuracy and an eye for detail
  • Can plan and manage own workload
  • Can demonstrate the ability to interact with people at all levels in the organisation and build positive working relationships
  • Are highly competent in standard software packages, e.g. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint and are able to use and grasp new technologies
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Are able to work in a team/use own initiative
  • Can demonstrate the ability to deliver, and promote, excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Are able to gather facts and write and present complex reports
  • Have an open, fun and flexible approach to work
