The vacancy

This role is working 38 weeks per year. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organise and Develop Work Placements: Support the Work Placement Manager and Team Leader in organising and developing new and existing work placements.
  • Health & Safety Assessments: Conduct Health & Safety assessments of work placement settings and address any issues/concerns.
  • Student Support: Assist with briefing meetings, DBS checks, and distribution of relevant documentation to providers.
  • Database Maintenance: Help develop and maintain a database of employer and commercial/industrial links.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with the Work Placement Manager/Team Leader and other team members.
  • Monitoring Progress: Monitor the progress of work placements and address any issues that arise.

Essential Criteria:

  • Relevant qualification and good IT skills, including word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Experience working with the 14-19 age group and within the education sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High levels of organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
  • Flexibility to meet the varied demands of the post.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Owner of a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and completing risk assessments is desirable.
