The role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute towards the delivery of a programme of data science and clinical informatics research. The post-holder will co-ordinate the administration for a programme of collaborative research linked to the NIHR Bristol Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) Translational Data Science theme, as well as associated grants such as the Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) South West Regional Network, HDR UK Medicines in Acute and Chronic Care Driver Programme, and the Convalescence Long Covid study. This programme of work is led by the Electronic Health Records research team at the University of Bristol.

What will you be doing?

The role will provide administration support for the research team. The post-holder will be responsible for organising and supporting a range of meetings and events, designing and preparing project documentation, processing payments, maintaining appropriate records as well as other tasks required in the provision of a professional support service.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a number of competencies including

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver exceptional customer service both face to face and online, to a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills, including prioritisation of a variety of work activities in a busy environment
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce accurate work to deadlines
  • Good computer skills with experience of working with Microsoft Office software
  • Initiative, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
  • Relevant administration and events experience

Additional information

Contract type: Open-ended with funding for 18 months

Work pattern: Part-time/ 0.5FTE

Shift pattern: 17.5 hours per week
