The vacancy

DN Colleges Group is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Co-ordinator to enhance our quality assurance functions and ensure readiness for the next Ofsted inspection. The successful candidate will have a background in further education, and recent teaching experience in a further education college. 

Purpose and Scope of the Role

The Quality Assurance Co-ordinator will work within the Quality Assurance Team, reporting to the Group Head of Quality. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement through quality assurance, training, and development. The successful candidate will support the Group Head of Quality with all awarding bodies’ arrangements and external quality requirements.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant degree and quality assurance qualification.
  • GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent at Grade C or above.
  • Experience in lesson observation processes and quality improvement activities.
  • Involvement with awarding bodies to monitor compliance and improve provision.
  • Current knowledge of Ofsted EIF and quality assurance requirements.
  • Strong ICT and numeracy skills for data recording, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective self-management and flexibility.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Act as an ambassador for outstanding teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Drive continuous improvement through quality assurance and training.
  • Collaborate with Curriculum Leads and Directors to ensure compliance with internal and external quality assurance processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and reports for all quality processes.
  • Coordinate and analyse student feedback and surveys.
  • Participate in internal inspections, learning walks, and quality assurance checks.
  • Support staff in achieving relevant teacher training and assessor qualifications.
  • Contribute to the delivery of essential teaching and learning CPD for staff.
