Job Summary - The Regional Engagement Team within the University’s Exeter Innovation Division are seeking a graduate to support a range of strategic and operational project tasks. The successful candidate will work within a varied team to support Regional Engagement including the delivery of the Civic University Agreements, Public Engagement with Research, Policy Engagement and the Devon Housing Commission. The role will be varied and provide an opportunity for you to acquire and develop a range of new skills and expand your knowledge of university systems and research approaches. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) scheme and offers a full-time contract (36.5 hours per week) for 12 months from 1st October 2024. The role will involve a mixture of home and campus-based work. When on campus, you will be based at the Innovation Centre, Streatham Campus (Exeter) with some meetings at the Innovation Hub (Princesshay, Exeter). About You – You should be a graduate who excellent organisational, time management and admin skills, good communication skills, strong IT skills, accuracy and the ability to pay attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines. You should have a positive attitude, be a team player, be able to contribute to a positive working culture, have confidence speaking with people of all levels and backgrounds, and have the ability to use own initiative. You should have enthusiasm, willingness to learn, be flexible, have problem solving skills, be customer focused, have an appreciation for research-related activity, have the ability to work independently while being part of a team, and the ability to present a professional image at all times. You should also have experience of researching and writing compelling copy for a specific audience, of supporting the delivery of events or online events, of teamwork and collaboration, of using databases and records systems, and in prioritising and meeting.
