As part of a pilot project the role will bridge central and departmental professional services, allowing you to gain insights into the inner workings of a broad range of areas. Your work will support and inform continuous improvement, as well as identifying future requirements, for timetabling software replacement project.

Our goal is to deliver a service that reflects the University’s vision of ‘Excellence with Purpose’ by underpinning our service with the University’s core values. Focused on the Faculty of Arts, the post-holder will work closely with the faculty and departmental administrative teams and interact with the senior leadership of the departments to identify the approach that will optimise the timetabling processes.

This work will involve interaction with a wide range of staff and students. Alongside being comfortable with the use of technology and digital tools, you will need strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen empathetically, so that you can identify a course of action to suit all parties.
