Role Summary

The Senior Operations Support Administrator will play a key role within the UoB Online Education Operations team, providing support for a broad range of administrative and operational duties. This role involves working closely with managers, professional services staff, academic staff, and external stakeholders to ensure the provision of a high-quality student experience for all students studying a UoB Online programme.

Main Duties

Process more complex data, monitoring accuracy, chasing up missing information, and resolving any issues as appropriate. 10. Support periodic quality assurance related audits, report on compliance, propose solutions and develop and deliver remedial action plans. 11. You are likely to be responsible for one or more of the following: - monitoring and processing partner invoicing, - producing regular student data reports; - regular review and updating of key documentation; - support the creation of Standard Operating Procedures; - support governance-related activity; - updating and writing contents for the department’s communications; - support the development and documentation of systems and procedures to assist in the day-to-day running of the unit’s administration; - monitoring internal procedures/compliance and ensuring these are followed and disseminated as appropriate.

  • Complex Systems and Procedures: Offer advice and resolve complex queries independently.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain high-profile working relationships with key stakeholders and act as a primary contact.
  • Project Management: Manage small-scale projects, conduct desk research, and produce bespoke reports.
  • Data Management: Use complex University systems to research, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Process Improvement: Support the development and documentation of local processes and systems.
  • Quality Assurance: Support periodic audits, report on compliance, and develop remedial action plans.
  • Agile Working: Provide cover for other roles across the team as required.

Person Specification

  • Qualifications: Educated to A Level standard or equivalent, with a minimum of grade C/4 in Mathematics and English at GCSE.
  • Experience: Experience in Higher Education is desirable but not required.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and able to quickly learn new IT skills and software packages.
  • Planning and Organization: Proven ability to plan ahead, manage time effectively, and work to deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write for different audiences.
  • Attention to Detail: Exemplary attention to detail and the ability to work confidentially.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and provide excellent customer service.
  • Values Driven: Align behavior with the core University values; ambitious, innovative, open, collaborative, and responsible.
  • Professionalism: High degree of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
