The Opportunity:
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a BBSRC Connecting Culture funded project entitled 'Evidence and Metrics: understanding mechanisms and best practice for evidencing and reporting on research culture and equity, diversity and inclusion objectives’. This exciting opportunity will be based at The Roslin Institute but will involve interactions with leads for equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) at each of the BBSRC sponsored Institutes in the UK. The postholder will collate information on current practices for data collection and metric analysis, identify methods of best practice and work with the EDI teams to develop strategies for improvement and sharing of good practice. This fits with BBSRC and the University of Edinburgh’s commitment to EDI and to enhancing workplace culture. You will work alongside the Roslin Institute EDI lead and contribute to EDI and workplace culture committees to deliver aspects of the research culture and Athena Swan Gold action plans. The Roslin Institute based at the Easter Bush Campus provides a vibrant, highly supportive workplace environment.
