We are proud of our BSc Broadcast Engineering course which includes a range of close relationships with companies in industry and practitioners. It has a positive reputation in the industry and is recognised for successfully supporting students into employment.  At Ravensbourne Broadcast Engineering is rooted firmly in providing practical engineering skills.  

The Role

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Lecturer to join our small, friendly specialist team in Broadcast Engineering.  This is a vital role to support the development of our Broadcast Engineering course, also contribute to a growing remit in related areas.

We understand the importance of work life balance and offer a flexible working pattern within the commitment to the curriculum, on either a 0.4 (two days a week) or 0.5 (two and half days a week).

Working closely with our course leader, you will:

  • Teach on our inspiring campus.
  • Supervise final projects and other practical course work.
  • Mark and assess student’s work.
  • Mentor and develop students.

The Candidate

You have

  • Industry experience in a technical broadcasting role or are closely related to broadcast engineering.
  • A working knowledge of broadcast systems.  
  • A knowledge of and enthusiasm for broadcasting
  • An interest in emerging technology – for example virtual reality or virtual production
  • An interest in teaching, this could be as part of a portfolio career.
  • An ability to work as part of a small teaching team and, where needed, to work independently.
  • A passion for responding to student needs from a range of backgrounds.
