Role Summary
The School of Chemical Engineering is embarking on an exciting development of new undergraduate and postgraduate programs in energy. As such, we are delighted to welcome applications to an Assistant Professor role associated with the Birmingham Energy Institute within the School of Chemical Engineering.
Your specialist research area is likely to be in one of our existing research strengths, of hydrogen and fuel cells, storage, energy systems and data, sustainable cooling, and critical materials. We particularly welcome applicants with significant research experience in energy applications of AI and data, in whole energy systems design and evaluation, or in development of novel fuel cell/electrolyser technologies. Applicants from under-represented groups are also strongly encouraged to apply.
You will contribute to a range of research, teaching and administration. In addition, you will be expected to demonstrate academic citizenship, developing and maintaining generous, mutually respectful and supportive working relationships with all staff and students, and ensuring the way you carry out your role impacts positively on how others can carry out theirs.
