About the Role
We have been funded by the National Institute of Health and care Research School of Primary Care Research to conduct a scoping review. This review will map out sources of evidence regarding who could discontinue antipsychotic medications with the lowest risk of relapse and with the greatest chance of benefit. The successful candidate will undertake this review under the supervision of Dr Natalie Shoham (a psychiatrist); and supported by Dr Elen Williams (a GP) and Dr Sarah Markham (a lived experience advisor). In conjunction with this wider team, the research assistant will be lead the day-to-day running of the project and will be first author on the resulting paper. The position is a 12 month fixed term contract.
About You
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in psychology or a related field. You will have a background in participating in social sciences research and familiarity with the organisation and governance of research. You will have experience in conducting either a systematic or scoping review alongside strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and excellent organisational skills. Excellent IT skills are essential.
