About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for two Research Technicians to join the QMUL Genome Centre, a dynamic core facility providing genetics and genomics expertise to researchers with a huge diversity of interests. Projects range from naked mole rat genetics, through the genomics of immunobiology, to single cell analysis of tumour progression. Our growth areas are single cell (RNAseq and epigenomics), spatial genomics, genetics, transcriptomics, and epigenomics. The post holders will run laboratory experiments as required.
About You
The successful applicants will have a meticulous eye for detail, a knack for rapid troubleshooting, and a proven track record of laboratory work. The appointees will have strong interpersonal skills as interaction with a range of clients and collaborators is a key part of the post. An understanding of genomics is important, but extensive training in specific applications will be provided. The post holders must hold a BSc in a biological science discipline or equivalent.
