The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.
The Faculty Admissions and Selection Officer will work alongside colleagues in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences to plan and provide an effective and responsive administrative service in support of the Medicine and Health Sciences selection process, as well as supporting the wider operational functions of the faculty. They will apply knowledge and perform key business processes that underpin the faculty’s selection process and support the University’s recruitment targets, whilst fulfilling key compliance requirements with external regulatory bodies.
A crucial customer service role, they will work closely with applicants for all faculty programmes and key stakeholders in the Medicine and Health Sciences admissions cycle. They will also form crucial relationships with the Faculty Operations & Selection, Quality, Student Support, Assessment and Curriculum teams to ensure the effective delivery of a streamlined set of processes in line with GMC regulations.
No specific prior experience is necessary as full training will be given, however, candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
