Applications are invited for the position of Radiochemistry Laboratory Technician in the Radiopharmaceutical Unit (RPU), Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre, a Major Imaging Research Facility within the Department of Clinical Neurosciences located on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The key function of the RPU is to manufacture short-lived radiopharmaceuticals to the high standards of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for the clinical imaging technique of Positron Emission Tomography (PET).

You will be responsible for supporting and assisting with the manufacture of  Carbon-11 and Fluorine-18 radiopharmaceuticals, following Standard Operating Procedures and responsibility for general lab maintenance and routine testing of equipment. The role holder will conduct environmental monitoring, following SOPs ¿ weekend work is required on a rotational basis with time off in lieu provided.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of HNC or equivalent in a science subject, preferably chemistry. Specialist knowledge and skills gained through a period of practical experience and theoretical training.  The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team.  You will also be motivated, reliable and have good communication skills and excellent record keeping skills.
