The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Project Coordinator for the Environmental Health Group (EHG) Professional Support team. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the EHG Professional Support team and the group's principle investigators to manage a number of international research and consultancy grants within the EHG.
The successful applicant will have higher education to degree level or equivalent or substantial relevant experience, substantial relevant experience of providing proactive administrative/financial support for research projects in Higher Education (or similar environment) and working closely with academic staff members, strong communication skills, as well as experience in an academic environment and knowledge of research grant administration. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed term until 28 February 2026. The post is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, FCDO, RGHI and is available from 17 February 2025.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 5 in the range £39,182 - £44,847 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
