We require an experienced Site Security Manager to join the Security Team at the University of Nottingham. Working across all University sites you will be responsible for the supervision of all Security staff within the area assigned to them and will liaise with our Operations Managers to ensure a safe, clean environment is provided for customers at all times. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the training and performance of designated Security Teams ensuring relevant training is kept up to date implementing plans for improvement where required. You will prepare and submit accurate reports to Senior Security Management relating to incidents on property under the control of the University and will prepare and issue operational orders to the team for large events. You will also be required to maintain accurate records and will provide specialist advice to business partners, supporting University Managers working within your designated areas of responsibility.

Candidates should have substantial experience of working in a similar area/environment at supervisory level, have proven decision making and problem solving skills and have the ability to motivate staff and deal with performance related issues. Due to the nature of the role and the frequency with which you will be required to drive around and between University sites the successful candidate must hold a valid driving licence.

The post is offered on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 per week), worked 5 days out of 7 to be arranged and will include working evenings and regular weekends. Flexibility will be required. Arrangements for job share will be considered.
