Homerton College are looking to recruit a Chef de Partie to join our Catering team assisting and supporting the delivery of food and beverages to our students, Fellows and staff as well as our conference and banqueting guests.
In this position, you will ensure that all necessary Health and Safety and food safety paperwork, administration, controls and records are undertaken and maintained as directed by the Executive Chef, including the monitoring and recording of temperatures of chills, freezers and food in production and holding.
As a Chef de Partie you should have previous experience of working in a professional kitchen (ideally in a college environment), be passionate about food and be able to contribute to the high standards our customers expect.
The successful candidate must have good working knowledge of handling and operation of equipment (including knives) and Health and Safety procedures. You should also have good working knowledge of current food trends and special dietary requirements. Knowledge of HACCP and a Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene certificate would be an advantage but is not essential.
