About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced fire safety professional to join the University’s Health and Safety Team. We are a small team of health, safety and fire professionals who provide a crucial service to the University in shaping and driving its health and safety culture and ensuring that it remains a sustained strategic priority.

About you
This is an exciting opportunity to build, develop and continually improve fire safety management at UWE Bristol. It will suit a well-rounded, highly motivated fire safety professional who is able to engage and influence at all levels and has a pragmatic customer-focused approach to fire safety.
You will have substantial experience and a comprehensive practical knowledge of fire safety in the UK, having worked within large, complex organisations with a broad range of fire safety risks. Ideally, you will have an IQ Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety or other equivalent level 4 fire safety qualification. You will meet the competency criteria for fire risk assessors and be at least a graduate member of the IFE or other relevant professional body.
