About the role
We are seeking to appoint a Housing Officer within our Applications and Allocations team. In this role, you would be responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information, advice, and guidance to students who are applying for university-managed accommodation. You would also act as a liaison between students and operational teams, ensuring any queries or requests regarding accommodation are addressed promptly and efficiently.
You will assisting students in understanding the accommodation options available to them, eligibility criteria, application processes, and deadlines. Address any student concerns or questions related to their accommodation application or specific needs, and ensuring they receive clear and helpful responses.
You will assist in the processing of accommodation applications, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate and you will Ensure that all student accommodation data is up to date and stored correctly, adhering to current GDPR regulations.
About you
Ideally you will have a combination of strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. As you will be interacting with Students and internal teams on a regular basis, being clear, professional and approachable is key. As you will be dealing with a range of queries and requests you’ll be resourceful and quick thinking to resolve issues. Due to the nature of the role being organised and focused on the detail is key. We are looking for someone who can be empathetic and patient along with someone who is a team player.
