We seek to appoint an exceptional candidate to a Lectureship in Politics and International Relations, for a 6 month post (fixed term, Teaching and Scholarship) to cover a period of maternity leave. The role will primarily support undergraduate students on our MA Politics and International Relations pathways, and we would particularly welcome candidates with experience in one or more of the following: Politics, International Relations, and/or Russian/European Studies.
The Division of Energy, Environment and Society (EES) is a multidisciplinary group of researchers, formed of staff from Geography and Environmental Science, the Centre for Petroleum and Mineral Law Policy (CEPMLP), and Politics and International Relations. A key feature of teaching and research in EES is its inter-disciplinary approach. Through undergraduate and postgraduate programmes we provide a unique perspective on how science and social science inform governments, business and communities through better understanding, policy and practice. In doing this we provide current and future professionals with the ability to meet the challenges of complex energy, societal and environmental challenges.
We seek to appoint someone with a passion for teaching and research who will work with colleagues across the Division, School and wider University as we build an intellectually stimulating, inclusive, supportive and diverse academic community focussed on social-, environmental and energy-futures, improving the lives of people and communities locally and globally. The successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in this academic community.
