This fixed-term post is available immediately (subject to funding) in Exeter Innovation until 31 March 2025. The post is 0.8 FTE and the appointee will be hybrid, based at the Penryn Campus, Cornwall.
Main purpose of the job:
The Evolve Futures project is funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The project brings together an interdisciplinary team from multiple research faculties and organisations in the Southwest. It will support innovation and inclusive expansion while building resilience in SMEs and is aimed at supporting Cornwall’s entrepreneurs and business community. The programme will involve a series of events and activities as part of this support to businesses.
The post-holder will work closely with other EI-based staff on the project, researchers across the three University faculties, as relevant, and connect with a variety of external partners to create positive impact for CIoS. We also expect a high degree of coordination and communication among other SPF-funded project teams both internally and externally.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the project team, leading delivery in the final six months of this business-facing project. They will be responsible for ensuring project targets are met in line with funder requirements, managing the project budget and ensuring all project documentation is created, reported and stored in accordance with stringent funder requirements.
They will support the wider team with project events, updating social media, creating case studies and interacting with businesses to complete required paperwork and providing updates. They will liaise with project members and university colleagues and the business community, taking a lead in client relationship management where required.
