About the Role
The post holder will be joining the Centre for Preventive Neurology at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London. The GP2 Coordinator will work within the Parkinson`s disease (PD) group, to work on the international Global Parkinson’s Genetics Program (GP2; www.gp2.org), funded by the Aligning Science Across Parkinson’s (ASAP) initiative and The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
The post holder will join the Training and Networking (TN) working group (WG) led by Prof Alastair Noyce. The overall aim of the TN WG is to establish a virtual centre-of-excellence to promote training and networking throughout the GP2 project.
About You
The GP2 Coordinator will support the development and implementation of GP2 training programs. They will monitor the progress of trainee projects and evaluate membership of the GP2 Trainee Network, as well as supporting with meeting management. The appointee should have sound skills in project coordination and be willing to work with investigators and collaborators across the GP2 network.

The Centre for Preventive Neurology is at the forefront of international research and brings together an expert team to carry out revolutionary new research into Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. The centre’s focus is on academic discipline, research, the translation of research into health strategies and their practical implementation.

The post is based in Charterhouse Square. It is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed-term appointment for 2 years. The salary will be Grade 4 between £39,065 - £41,123 per annum.
