The International Relations Office (IRO) Administrator supports the work of the whole team and is key to the success of the International Relations Office. You will be expected to support the work of internationalisation across the university, and will work with stakeholders across the whole organisation, at all levels.

You will support the Director of International with managing budgets for the office, provide support and guidance for the induction of new staff, oversee health and safety, and provide administrative support to the team.

The role is varied and will allow you to gain exposure to a number of areas of work in a short time.

You will be an experienced administrator;

  • Proficient in organising tasks effectively and adept in handling numerical data with precision and accuracy, ensuring inclusive approach and execution.
  • Approaching work with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision and thoroughness in all tasks performed.
  • Display effective written and verbal communication skills, embracing diverse communication styles in all interactions.
  • Demonstrate a nuanced approach in handling confidential and sensitive information, employing tact, discretion, and respect for diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work within a team, however also work independently when required.

Further information

The is a part-time position (0.6 fte) for a fixed-term period of 6 months. 

The team works in a hybrid model and you would be expected to be on campus for 50-60% of the time (with some flexibility to support visits or out of hours events on occasion) but we are open to a discussion on how the hours are structured across the working week.
