The role

Join our team as a Senior Graphic Designer and take the lead in translating our brand into dynamic creatives for our multi-channel campaigns. Collaborating with colleagues within the Content and Creative team and the wider marketing and communications division, you'll craft creative concepts, each tailored to one of our many specific audiences, to deliver captivating content, fostering meaningful interactions and amplifying our university's strengths.

As the driving force behind our creative concepts, you'll elevate our visibility, enhance engagement, and showcase the diverse facets of our academic community and student life through design. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving our recruitment and reputation goals, making a tangible impact on our university's success. What will you be doing?

  • Lead on the visual design of impactful global creative campaigns showcasing our leading research, world-class education and vibrant city.
  • Become an ambassador of our brand’s visual elements, supporting colleagues in how to use it consistently and in line with our guidance .
  • Provide training and support on how to use our templates and InDesign for those colleagues that have it.
  • Work with colleagues to help develop new creative toolkits to highlight a new brand that we’ll be launching in 2026.
  • Maintaining existing designs and updating to ensure they are up-to-date.
  • Supporting colleagues with their design requests.
  • Working with other content creators and designers within the University to ensure they are aware of new tools and any changes to our visuals.

You should apply if

  • You’re a skilled Graphic Designer/Artworker with a proven track record of working on a high-profile brand, and able to showcase this effectively through creative concepts that have an impact.
  • You are knowledgeable about new design trends and how different audiences respond to creative work.
  • You have experience of creating both print and digital assets, including accessible PDFs
  • You can confidently and diplomatically work with colleagues and peers, and look to bring new ideas to the table, with a focus on seeing what works best.
  • More that anything, you are passionate about great design.

Additional Information:

We offer a hybrid work model, where we aim to collaborate in the office at least two days a week. Our designated team days are Wednesday and Thursday. The remaining three days provide flexibility for optional remote work from home. For those who prefer working on-site more frequently, our office space is available and open for your convenience.
