The Department of International Development (ODID) is looking to appoint a customer service-focused Receptionist who will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the department’s reception desk and provide administrative support for the department.
The Receptionist will be responsible for welcoming and assisting visitors to the department, answering and directing incoming calls, and maintaining the tidiness and organisation of the reception area ensuring a smart professional image at the first point of contact. They will provide administrative support to the ODID Executive Assistant and Communications Manager, including updating parts of the department’s website.
The successful candidate will have efficient and competent administrative skills, a good understanding of standard administrative procedures, and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey clear and accurate information. They should also be able to work well under pressure, prioritise workload, and give attention to detail. Previous experience in a similar position would be an advantage.
This is a permanent, part-time role (22 hours/0.6 fte).
