To provide technical support with minimal supervision, in a range of project specific research activities including: the running and trouble shooting of experiments; the maintenance, use and teaching of research associated equipment. To assist team members in ensuring that staff and students operate safe working practices ensuring health and safety compliance within the laboratories.
Brain Inflammation Group
The Brain Inflammation Group (BIG) comprises several Principal Investigators and Research Fellows with a large team of postdoctoral researchers, postgraduate students and technical support. Research in the group spans the understanding of basic mechanisms of inflammation through to clinically based research that modifies clinical practice for the management of neurological disease. This diverse research environment provides a stimulating place to work and train. The post holder will work in the BIG lab with Prof Stuart Allan and others, using a variety of basic and specialist techniques to support translational neuroscience projects.
