About the Role
You won’t find another web developer role like this. In this role, you’ll take front-end and back-end web development projects from start to finish. You’ll meet with staff and student reps to hear ideas and work closely with them to create their webpages, add their tickets and products, or design their new app sections. No day will ever be the same, one day you could be designing our new student's website, the next planning the next phase of developments on our mobile ordering and loyalty app.

Our website aims to be fun, exciting, vibrant and informative, led by the latest Gen-Z, youth and technology trends. The role will support and enable the Students’ Union to meet the digital communication needs of our current and future students by developing new technologies and pushing our brand online.

The role will also manage the membership database and liaise with the University regarding data imports.

About You
You will be a hybrid Front-End Developer/Designer, comfortable working individually and part of a close team. You will be good at hand-coding production-ready HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (JQuery) and will have previously developed websites and apps and managed a membership management system.

You’ll need to be creative and full of ideas, with a clear understanding of website design, the user journey and developing websites and mobile applications for a range of browsers and devices. You’ll need to have excellent organization skills, problem solving abilities and be able to meet simultaneous project briefs to a timescale. Our values are at the heart of all that we do, you’ll need to apply them throughout your work.
