The Role:

Key responsibilities:

  • To support students with their learning needs, which may include aspects of their behaviour which challenges. To support students’ learning including: literacy and numeracy, taking of notes of lectures and support them in their use of Information Technology. This may include supporting students during online, remote teaching when required. To liaise with teaching staff and other Learning Support Practitioners to ensure good communication concerning the individual needs and progress of students, including the recording of relevant observation of targets. To supervise transport at the beginning and end of the day, dealing with cancellations and alterations when required. To assist teaching staff in all aspects of lesson preparation and support teaching staff in the delivery of the curriculum to students with additional learner support needs.

About You:

  • Must have Level 2 English and Maths Must have a Learning Support or Teaching Assistant and Learning qualification Level 2 or above Ability and willingness to undertake personal care duties, and previous experience of supporting adults with their personal care needs.
