The RNCM is currently recruiting for an IT technician to join our small but experienced team.

The IT department provides a secure, resilient infrastructure, which underpins every aspect of the College’s mission, across Student, Academic and Professional Services areas.

Working both with the Client Services Manager and independently, the successful candidate will help manage our end-user estate of laptops, desktops, tablets, mobile phones and more, to ensure that users have a consistent, modern, reliable, secure environment in which to work.

On a daily basis this will involve tasks like providing 1st and 2nd line support for users with various levels of technical abilities on Windows 10, 11 and macOS; keeping software and hardware up-to-date; monitoring system compliance; and managing user accounts, using tools including our helpdesk system, Active Directory, Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager and Microsoft 365.

Excellent IT, problem solving and communications skills are expected, as is the drive and commitment to continuously learn and develop. In return, you will have the opportunity to be exposed to a very broad range of IT related topics, scope to become involved in wider aspects of the work of the department, and broaden your experience and skillsets.

Please note that this role is not suitable for remote / hybrid working, and as such requires the successful candidate to be based in the RNCM offices Monday-Friday.
