About the Role
Applications are sought for a talented Bioinformatician to join the Barts Cancer Institute Bioinformatics Core Facility to provide and maintain the bioinformatics core function for the institute. Bioinformatics Core plays an integral part in all research activities at the institute. The post holder will be working within the Bioinformatics Core team to lead the bioinformatics components and provide bioinformatics and computational expertise to on-going research activities and projects.
About You
Essential requirements for this post include an MSc or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Genomics or a relevant discipline. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge and experience in large-scale data analysis, especially next-generation sequencing data sets, e.g., RNA-seq, whole-exome sequencing and/or ChIP-seq. Experience in single-cell RNA-seq analysis, spatial omics and machine-learning is much desired. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.
