The role
A challenging and significant collaborative project is being led by Sheffield Hallam University and Award-winning Dental Laboratory S4S (UK) Limited.
The aim is to develop innovative technical solutions that use automation and machine learning technologies to provide robust efficiency and quality gains with S4S’s daily workflow. The focus is to improve continuous 3D print runs and the related business processes.
The project is supported by Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme.
The collaboration offers a wonderful opportunity to lead and manage exciting and challenging changes in a growing company.

Background information
S4S (UK) Ltd, began in 2005 as Solutions 4 Snoring Ltd, quickly then diversifying into multiple areas of dental technology, hence the re-naming to S4S.
Since inception, S4S has become one of the leading dental laboratories in the UK, specialising in Orthodontics and Splint Technology.
The company proudly services over 29,000 Dental professionals across the UK as well as some overseas business.
S4S are recognised as the largest dental laboratory in respect to the volume of 3D scan files they process daily, meaning this project sits right at the heart of their core operation. The efficient and optimal use of 3D content manufacturing is a significant concern.
S4S is looking to secure and develop its market position through innovation initiatives including this Knowledge Transfer Partnership.
