The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the new Bristol’s Centre for Doctoral Training in Engineering Biology (EngBio CDT), as a lecturer on Bristol’s academic Pathway 1 (teaching and research).
The EngBio CDT is a collaborative programme with multiple academics and Schools in Bristol, the University of Oxford and industry partners led by the University of Bristol.
The EngBio CDT will provide bespoke cohort-based training with a focus on how engineering biology concepts and technologies can be translated into products with real-world impact.
What will you be doing?
You will be co-leading teaching activities of the new EngBio CDT, and you will also be a contributor to the vibrant research in Engineering Biology at Bristol.
You will likely make contributions to other teaching in the School’s portfolio of degree programmes.
You should apply if
You should apply if you want to extend the state of the art in engineering biology and you enjoy collaborative research and team science with other technical disciplines and industry partners.
Grant writing and lecturing are both expectations of the role, both as an individual but also in collaboration with wider teams within and outside the School.
