The role

This position offers the successful applicant a fantastic opportunity to join the Centre’s large and expanding International Foundation Programme (IFP) team.

You will be contributing to the continued development of the University of Bristol IFP as a world-class provision that attracts diverse, high-quality students and provides them with an excellent educational experience.

What will you be doing?

As a Subject tutor, you will be teaching Biomedical Sciences on the International Foundation Programme’s STEM pathway.

As well as teaching, you will collaborate with the Biomedical Sciences Subject Lead in the design and development of the Centre’s materials, assessments and CPD under the supervision of the Science & Engineering Co-ordinator. You will be working in line with the Centre’s principles of development, reflexivity, autonomy, collaboration, transparency and transferability.

The ability to teach Mathematics or statistics would be an advantage.

You should apply if

  • You have teaching experience on courses in Biomedical Sciences / Biology. This can be from Secondary, Sixth Form, Further or Higher Education.
  • You are an enthusiastic, experienced professional who can work as part of a dynamic teaching team. 
  • You are looking for great balance between an average of 15 contact teaching hours per week, and opportunities to develop teaching materials and yourself through personal CPD.

Additional information

Flexible working is available from home or office, when not teaching or attending meetings. Regular Centre-led CPD sessions, as well as the University sessions are available to all staff.
