The Faculty of Social Sciences is seeking a Research Project Administrator, based in the Southampton Business School, Department of Human Resource Management and Organisational Behaviour to support the international interdisciplinary research project funded by the British Academy and as part of the wider Faculty Operating Service. Successful applicant will be experienced, motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive, whilst culturally sensitive and are able to work effectively in a flexible and collaborative environment.
The project of Female Entrepreneurship in South and Southeast Asia is a British Academy funded large scale project between the University of Southampton, the University of Southampton, Malaysia Campus and University of Da Nang, Vietnam. This international interdisciplinary project aims to offer valuable insights into the lived experiences of female entrepreneurs in three ODA-recipient countries Bangladesh, Malaysia and Vietnam, and advancing the research in entrepreneurship and management, knowledge exchange, and practice and policy for welfare and economic development in the studied countries.
As a research project administrator in Southampton Business School, you will provide high level support to the team to deliver professional and efficient services including operational assistance and administrative support to the academic community, event organisation, financial administration, organising and minuting meetings, and ordering resources. You will be a key facilitator of relationships with project partners and collaborators across academia and industry, in the international context.
